Introduction to Terrace Park Deed Index

This section of the website lists the land transfer records (deeds) located in the Hamilton County Recorder’s Office in Cincinnati that are associated with land that is now in Terrace Park.  It has the designation T5 FR2 (Town 5, Fractional Range 2) of Miami Purchase.  It is located in Sections 22, 23, 28, and 29 of .  The purpose of this study is to trace the property ownership from the earliest days of Terrace Park and to link these transfers to the current home ownership in 2008.

For all addresses, deeds are listed on this site.  Index-Plat books list information about the series for each subdivision as well as the location of plat map.  Records for each house are listed on the Hamilton County Auditor website (www.hcauditor.org).

Deeds, in the Recorder’s Office, are organized first by subdivision. We have then organized the land records within each subdivision by current street address.

Using the subdivision table, click on the subdivision name to view all the addresses and deeds within that subdivision.  The subdivision name for each house is given on the master record for that house.

Subdivision Table

The land in the Village of Terrace Park is subdivided into 31 subdivisions (plus Columbia which is not officially a subdivision but a grouping of houses not in any designated subdivision) and each subdivision is divided into Blocks and/or Lots.  Each property in the Village is located on one or more lots.  Subdivisions are defined in Plat Books which are located in the Hamilton County Recorder’s Office and contain drawings of each subdivision.  Each subdivision is identified by Plat Book number (PB) and page number.  Some plat books are actual drawings on paper while the newer ones are available on microfiche.  See actual maps for the exact location of each subdivision.  Click on the Subdivision Name to see the street addresses.

Notes:

  1. The current limit of Biggs is between Stanton, Elm, Douglas, and the Bike Path.  Originally it included what is now Eveland’s 2nd subdivision.
  2. The Council Rock subdivision is located mainly in Indian Hill on Council Rock Lane which is off Indian Ridge Road.  The lots are mostly in Indian Hill, but the rears of the lots just protrude into Terrace Park.  There is no access to these lots from Terrace Park and therefore it is very unlikely that any buildings will be constructed there.
  3. Pattison & Iuen subdivision includes all land in Terrace Park north of Oxford and east of the Bike Path except for Nordloh’s 2nd subdivision (Michigan Ave.).  It includes all of Cambridge, Sycamore, Hawthorne and parts of Terrace Place and Miami Avenue with the exception of 3 lots on Sycamore near the Little Miami River which are still with the Camden City subdivision.
