Story 1: House built by and for a Mr. Sims who went to live in Clermont County instead.
Story 2: Virgil Fender planted an acorn in the back yard in 1942 which is now a full grown oak tree.  This information was engraved on a cobble when the stadium was built (true in 1995).  Virgil's & Rosemary's sons, Don & Gerry, live in Milford (2002).   Rosemary Maerki Fender's parents were Ernest F. & Elsie Marie Maerki.  Elsie died in 1963.
Story 3:  Roger Early conducted the auction of the house in April 1995.   It was not actually sold until May or June.
